Now in our sixth year!
Theatre Arts Academy is a 2-week intensive theater arts program for students 13 to 17 years of age. The Lost Colony Theatre Arts Academy offers teenagers a more complete theater arts experience than our 5-day camps can offer. The program will cover performance, stagecraft, and auditioning, as well as opportunities in stage managing, props, scenery, and costumes. At the end of the second week, our Academy students will join the Session III Campers to present a performance for friends and family.

WE WILL ROCK YOU Young@Part® is inspired by and featuring the songs of Queen. This new version of the West End show is perfect for kids to perform! Song keys are changed where needed, songs and scenes are edited for time and content. There are great parts for girls, boys and can include any sized ensemble/chorus, who appear throughout the show.
Featuring chart-topping Queen songs including “Another One Bites the Dust,” “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Killer Queen,” “We Will Rock You,” “Somebody To Love,” “We Are the Champions,” and many more, this adaptation of the West End show follows two young rebels as they restore rock ‘n’ roll to “the iPlanet” in a post-apocalyptic world. Camp Dates/Times: July 27 – July 31 & August 3 – August 7, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Performance: Friday, July 31 at 3:00 PM
Showcase: Friday, August 7 at 3:00 PM
The dates for Session III will be August 3 – 7, 2020

9:00am – 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Students should arrive between 8:40 AM and 9:00 AM on opening day, between 8:45 AM and 8:55 AM on following days.
Students should be picked up between 3:00 PM and 3:15 PM. Students must be picked up by 3:15 PM.
3:00 PM on first Friday of camp. There will also be a showcase at the end of the second week. Friends and family are welcome to attend. Location of the performance will be given during the first day of camp.
The camp will be conducted primarily in the SoundStage Theatre located backstage at the Waterside Theatre and in the Lost Colony Admin Building.
PAYMENTS, CANCELLATIONS, AND REFUNDS
The $45 deposit is non-refundable and will be applied to the session fee. Remaining balance of camp fees is due no later than the first day of the session. A written statement must accompany cancellation. Any refund may take up to 30 days from receipt of the written cancellation notice. Camp fees are not discounted when campers arrive late or leave early except for withdrawal due to illness or accident.
In case of dismissal from camp, THERE WILL BE NO REFUND.
The deposit of an applicant on the waiting list is processed only when a space becomes available in camp.
