Dare Night + Outer Banks Relief Foundation

Dare Night + Outer Banks Relief Foundation

The first 2018 “Dare Night” at The Lost Colony was very successful for Lifeline Outreach OBX. This Friday’s June 8th “Dare Night” performance benefits Roanoke Island Food Pantry, which helps provide people in need of emergency help while waiting for Food Assistance cards. Also joining us this week, the Outer Banks Relief Foundation will be collecting cash donations before the show. A Relief Foundation gift typically covers the most pressing household bills for a Dare County family during their time of crisis.

In addition to the food or dry goods donations, residents are required to show proof of Dare County residency. Pre-performance donation collection begins at 6:00 PM. The show starts at 7:45 PM and theatre guests are encouraged to arrive early.  Tickets will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis.  Donation of non-perishable food items are required for free ticket. Recommended items for the food drive include canned vegetables, fruits, meats, soups and beans; tomato and pasta products; cereals; toilet paper and paper towels.  There are no rain checks with these free tickets.

The final “Dare Night” performance will be June 15th and benefits Beach Food Pantry. This is an excellent opportunity for Dare County residents to see The Lost Colony while aiding families in need. “Dare Nights” are sponsored by Midgett Insurance Agency. Midgett is proud to be a part of this long-standing community event.
