Volunteer with The Croatan Crew
Since 1937, volunteers from the Outer Banks community have been one of the most important parts of producing The Lost Colony.

For 72 seasons our volunteers have seen to it that “the show must go on,” and were crucial in the rebuilding and recovery following our 2007 costume shop fire.

The accomplishments of The Lost Colony volunteers in any given year are numerous and diverse: volunteers assist not only with office tasks such as mailings, but are often seen across the country helping with efforts like fundraising events, publicity appearances and opening night parties.

Without our volunteers, proudly known as The Croatan Crew, The Lost Colony and The Roanoke Island Historical Association could not do all the things we do.

Volunteers are the heartbeat of this organization!
