Costume Shop Replacement Fund

There is no better way to see a gift you make at work on stage than by contributing to the Costume Shop Replacement Fund. Thousands of costumes were destroyed in the fire of 2007 – and the rebuilding continues – but thanks to the entire family of Lost Colony supporters, the show opened as planned in 2008.

In the words of Christopher L. Seawell, Chairman of the Roanoke Island Historical Association, the 2008 production of The Lost Colony and that of every year that will follow is a “testament to those who have traveled with us on this journey to recovery.”

The new costumes designed by William Ivey Long – known as the hardest-working costumer in show biz – explore socio-economic and emotional identities of the original colonists, while at the same time provides The Lost Colony audience with a visual spectacle of Elizabethan and Early Native American times.

To donate to the Costume Shop Replacement Fund and help rebuild history, either fill in and submit the form below or download a DONATION FORM (Adobe PDF Reader) and mail it to the Roanoke Island Historical Association, 1409 National Park Drive, Manteo, NC 27954 with your check or credit card information.
