Since 1937, The Lost Colony has entertained over 4
million patrons under the stars at Waterside Theatre.
The production was the first of its kind, an original
theatrical art form called “Symphonic Drama.” The Lost
Colony features the elements of music, dance, and drama
in a grand spectacle of sights and sounds written by
Pulitzer-Prize Winning North Carolina author Paul Green.
It is a combination of the historical accounts and
characterizations that evoke American determination and
freedom while telling the story of America’s oldest
unsolved mystery. |
