Carolina Actor Returns to Portray
Beloved Old Tom
(Manteo, NC - July 16, 2008) The Lost Colony stage has been graced
by many talented performers in its seven decades of production.
University of South Carolina MFA candidate Brian Rooney is one
such actor, returning for his second year in the role of Old
Tom. Rooney aptly portrays the troubled old world character who
“finds” himself in the new world. The versatile actor has
appeared on stage and screen and will be directing The Lost
Colony ‘s production of Sleeping Beauty. Come see
Rooney’s tenderly comical portrayal of the familiar Old Tom
Sundays through Fridays at Waterside Theatre. Children
accompanied by a paying adult are admitted free on Mondays and
