(Manteo, N.C., June 22, 2008) – For the fifth consecutive year, The Lost Colony is grateful for their partnership with the Kubota Tractor Corporation. A front load tractor/mower was delivered from Edenton Tractor and Implement Company, Inc of Edenton, NC just in time for summer grounds keeping at the theatre site.

New Jersey Couple Donates to Lost Colony Fund
(Manteo, N.C., May 19, 2008) – Ken Keating (left) and Lance Culpepper (right) accept a donation from Gertrude and Jay Heyman for The Lost Colony’s Costume Shop Replacement fund.  Gertrude and Jay owned a fabric store in New Jersey and now winter in Duck.

Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce Supports The Lost Colony

(Manteo, N.C., February 28, 2008) – The Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce members recently donated $27,505 to The Lost Colony. The funds will assist the drama’s rebuilding efforts following the devastating September fire. Margaret Wells, Co-Chair of the Chamber’s Costume Fund Drive presented the check to Chris Seawell, Board Chairman of the Roanoke Island Historical Association (RIHA). In attendance (from L-R) was Chamber President John Bone, Carl V. Curnutte Executive Director/ Producer of The Lost Colony, Chamber Board Chair Jeff Malarney, Margaret Wells, Chris Seawell, RIHA Board Member Edward Green, Rich Rollason the Co-Chair of the Chamber’s Costume Fund Drive and Ken Keating, The Lost Colony’s Development Director. read more >>
   

Cooperate Bank Supports TLC’s Costume Shop Replacement Fund
Gift Provides Needed Funds for the Drama
Rick Gray, Vice President and manager of the Kill Devil Hills office of Cooperative Bank recently presents a $5,000 check towards the Costume Shop Replacement fund to The Lost Colony’s Ken Keating (left), and Carl V. Curnutte (right). Behind them you can see that the building construction has progressed steadily over the winter months. The ribbon-cutting open house for the Irene Smart Rains Costume Shop is scheduled for April 30. read more >>
   

Secretary Evans Visits Lost Colony Construction Site (Manteo, NC, February 19, 2008) – Lisbeth C. “Libba” Evans, Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources recently visited The Lost Colony Costume Shop Construction Site.

Construction to replace the destroyed Irene Smart Rains Costume Shop has progressed steadily over the winter months. Assistance from the Department of Cultural Resources and Evans has been a critical component of the project.
